متن پیام حجت الاسلام و المسلمین سید حسن خمینی بدین شرح است:

«بازی های آسیایی تمام شد و از مدال های عجیب میزبان که بگذریم، تیم ما بعد از سه قدرت ورزشى آسیا و ازبکستان قرار گرفت. شاید اگر بد اقبالى با برخى از ورزشکاران همراه نبود و امثال خواهران منصوریان که عزم و همتشان زبانزد همه است به حق خود مى رسیدند، یا خواهر گرامی مان در تیر و کمان به اشتباه از دور مسابقات حذف نمى شد و ... ، امروز ما در جایگاه چهارم بودیم.

از اینها که بگذریم باید از تیم کبدى یاد کنیم و قهرمانی ارزشمند ایشان در تیم مردان و زنان را قبل از همه به آنها تبریک بگوییم. در مجموع مى توان گفت که کاروان ورزشى ایران با دست پر و با افتخار به کشور بازگشت و به جاست این مهم را به همه شما و وزیر و مدیران و مربیان و زحمتکشان عرصه ورزش و دوستانمان در کمیته ملى المپیک تبریک بگویم.

نکته آخر هم آنکه یادمان باشد جایگاه ما در آسیا، مرهون حضور همراه با عفاف زنان ایران در این مسابقات است. امید است در آینده شاهد روزهاى بهترى براى ورزش کشور باشیم. امروز روزى است که باید سکوى سوم را در آسیا هدف بگیریم. راهى طولانى در پیش است ولى عزم ایرانیان سرمایه بزرگى است که ما را براى نیل به این هدف امیدوار مى کند.»
